Christmas Storytelling by Parents

First graders got a wonderful surprise, a special elf came to tell them a Christmas story about Santa.

The book read by Vega’s mum was SANTA NEEDS A WEE by Nicholas Allan.
Thank you, dear Vega’s mum! Merry Xmas!!!!

Also, second graders had this lovely visit. They could listen and draw the same story by the same elf.
Thanks a lot, dear elf!!!

4th graders received the visit of a different white elf, Rui’s mum. They could enjoy the story of DREAM SNOW by Eric Carle and also draw some scenes of this magical book.
Thank you, white elf!!! Merry Christmas!!!!

We’re very lucky, Lucas’ mum brought us delicious homemade small sweet bread to celebrate her birthday after the Christmas storytelling by families.
Irene’s parents and Lucas’ mum were reading and acting CHRISTMAS CAROL to kindergarten 5 students.
Thank you sooooo much!!!
We enjoyed a lot!!!

American Penpal 2018 and first Graders

Jefferson Elementary School
Winnona, Minesota USA

CEIP PLURILINGÜE TIRÁN
Tirán, Moaña SPAIN

This year, we're going to follow The Flat Stanley Project with the 1st grade student in our American PenPal 2018.
This project was started in 1995 by Dale Hubert, a third grade school teacher in London, Ontario, Canada.
It is meant to facilitate  letter-writing by school children to each other.

We're going to follow our friends in the Jeffferson Elementary School, in this project.

First, we created our particular Flat Stanleys. The girls and boys in 1st grade decorated the clothes of their Stanleys. The teachers took the pictures of the students, and the kids wrote some sentences in English about themselves. Name, age and adress.

The Spanish Flat Stanleys were already sent, they're flying to Winnona, USA.

Now, we'll introduce every student showing the different parts of CEIP PLURILINGÜE TIRÁN.

This is Mateo showing us his Flat Stanley in front of the winners of the last Halloween Spelling Bee poster.

Gael is showing us our special Sea created by Kindergarten 5 students in Art.
It reflects the main school topic.

These 3 boys are, from right to left, Anxo, Nicolás and Lucas. They are showing us the Kindergarten building and part of the amazing playground full of trees and grass.

A different view of our playground.

On the right, Xavi Ferral and Xavi Iglesias, on the left are showing the well-decorated gym.

Aitana and Hugo, from the left are enjoying the swings area in the yard.

And now, they are next to the other kindergarten playground.

Nahir, Tiago and Breogán, from the right, are pointing to our loved rock, Madreboa, that means Good Mom, that protects us, in a different view of part of the garden.

From the right, Sabela, Idare and Manu are in the school library.

They are reading English books and showing us their Flat Stanleys at the library.

This is the centre of our Primary and main school building.
Samuel and Emma  are showing us the main hall from upstairs.

Here are Fátima and Ramiro, from the right, in the English classrom.

They are from the right, Vega, Noa, María and Lucía at the 1st grade classroom door. We can see a lot of fish, because our school topic of the year is SEA.

The First grade classroom is empty, everybody is at the gym.

This is Olivia, our American conversation assistant 2018. She's from New Orleans.
She helps us in the English class, so as in the Natural Science and Art classes. Here is the first grade group in the English class having fun and practice English in pairs.

We are looking forward to seeing the American Flat Stanleys in Tirán.

Dear friends,
we hope you to like our school,
 desiring to watch yours!!!m

Here are the American Flat Stanleys come from USA during Christmas.

Every kid is going to take home one American friend to show to his/her family.

And the teachers have their own Flat Stanleys from the American Teacher, Erin, and the Spanish conversation assistant from Barcelona, Carla.

Thank you all for being here with us. It’s a pleasure to have your Flat Stanleys in Tirán.

The whole class took their Flat Stanleys home, showing and telling their families about them.

Back at school, we’re going to prepare a nice poster where to show the American Penpal friends to the rest of the school.

This is the original book that our teacher friend, Erin, sent us as a present to get to know the story about Flat Stanley.

Thank you, Erin, you’re so kind!!!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽💖💖💖

FALLen leaves in our FISH and glitter on the STARfish

Why Nature trap us? We don’t know... or may be we do. When you walk outside school to the forest, you can imagine lots of Art projects to do with fallen leaves, stones, little sticks, dried plants at the class picked up by kids...

So, a FISH came up from a fern.
That’s Nature in our particular deep SEA at school.

A little of glue...

You should wait till next week, and draw the shape, eyes, mouth, tail... magic makes the rest.

And the fish can swim next to the seahorses, UNDER THE SEA...

Lovely work!!!
Thank you, Olivia, for your magical Art!!!.💖

................................                      ..........................

STARFISH glitterring under the sea, next to leaves fish and glowing seahorses.

You should cut the starfish shape made of eva rubber.

Add the eyes, and put some glue on it and a lot of colourful glitter. Nice!

Our deep sea is getting amazing, full of lovely and original sea inhabitants.

Awesome work, kids!!!! Congratulations!!
Thank YOU, Olivia!
