Everybody at school can see the projects from USA in the school main hall. All the first graders could bring them home to show their families.
Our cards have arrived at Jefferson Elementary School in Winona, USA. We’re very proud of the pictures we have sent them and the short introduction we wrote about ourselves.
The pictures on the cards follow a kind of project we did in our school. We prepared a photo-call where every single student and teacher could be and take a photo.
And we have just received some gifts from Winona... guess what!
Our 1st grade class has 25 kids, in the picture less than the half (16 kids sick at home).
Our 1st grade students are so excited to read the projects that their penpals have sent to them.
They’re also very surprised to see that they can read them, because the American children are in a Spanish immersion school where they are being taught in Spanish. They have almost all the subjects in Spanish. So that Erin, the teacher, has a Spanish conversation assistant with her too.
Our American friends can read in English, while our students can do it in Spanish. So the students and their families can understand the short writings that the projects have.
