Cultures Around the World

For this second term, we’re going to work on Cultures Around the World.

Every group of the school chose a different culture to create their costume for the coming Carnival. So, in the English class, we’ll find out information about different countries, continents and their cultures.

Asif is telling the students that depending on the country, they will have different weather, food, traditions, clothes, etc. and even, when we’re different, we also have some similarities.

 

Eskimo people are used to live in a very cold weather, and they adapted their lives to cold.

 Chinese year is beginning the first of February. This year, 2022, will be the year of the TIGER of Water.

African people live very close to Nature.

This academic year, Asif is here to show us the charming and magical Indian world.

Mexicans are very similar to us in language and some traditions. 

Scottish people are like  Galician people in some traditions and way of life that we’ll discover during this second term.

Egypt is so magical and unknown that we’d live to know more about them.

Asif is our Indian ambassador this 2022 from India.

During Carnival,

WE ENJOYED A LOT 

Asif was wearing his own kurta.

And the teacher wore an Indian saree.

 The other 2 teachers were wearing the typical Chinese and Scottish clothes.

Welcome New Year 2022

We are very  HAPPY to start a new year full of SURPRISES::::::

At last, we are going to have a visit from a very far away place…

You already know a lot about this beautiful and amazing place in the world. 

The Magic Kings brought us a present after waiting and waiting for three months.

   

WELCOME ASIF

At last, Asif arrived at Tirán. We’re so happy to have him with us. We’ll learn much more about lovely India.

He’s showing us interesting pictures and information about India. We´ll learn about languages, population, traditions, food and culture.

IT´S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE XMAS...

                   All of the Primary students were drawing a funny Christmas character through  a wellknown youtube artist, who shows "how to draw..." all kind of things. The videos are in English and the teacher stops it for the kids. They are able to draw amazing drawings enjoying a lot,  while they learn English.

CHRISTMAS around the WORLD. A season of Gladness.

               We were working about places of the world and the special Xmas that they celebrate depending on the weather,  traditions or religions.

The older students had to prepare an essay choosing a place where to go for this Christmas and they had to write interesting points about the country selected. 

Even fourth graders prepared a short activity about it, filling it with nice drawings or pictures about the country they prefered.

Frozen river in Ottawa, they could be around 30 under 0. 

It´s summer in Australia. 

Everybody in the beach, would you like to pass your Xmas at the beach???

I don´t.

I´d like to be in New York, and to enjoy the ice rink in front of the Rockefeller Centre.

It’s snowing in Paris. 

Lovely Xmas open markets in Ireland. 

You can go easily to Lisbon, Portugal is close to us.

Everybody has to go to London, at least, during Xmas. At Christmas the city looks really like a movie. 

Awesome decorations and wonderful lights in the streets, buildings, shops… every single place is a pleasure.

Soooo cold in Norway...

Vigo is ok. Nice weather near here.

Also summer in New Zealand, like Australia, they are in Oceania.

When Asif comes, he’ll talk about his country widely. 

So snowy weather in Germany. Would you like to ho there?
