Coloured salt box

You can use a Coloured Salt Box to practice vocabulary, spelling, as a guessing game, etc into groups, pairs or individually.

These are 3rd graders writing vocabulary related to food into small groups. That was surprising and funny for them.

They were practicing orally short food dialogues and after that,  they rewiewed spelling through this original way.

Cooking practice. How to make a recipe

Exercise for third grade:

The pupils should create a recipe wellknown by them from home, using this specialized Cooking Vocabulary.

They'll write it at class, then they'll share it with a partner for him/her to translate it.

They can do it individually, in pairs or small groups.

They can look for the ingredients through the dictionary, if they need it.

Finally, the'll make a picture of the recipe.

Every day activities verbs are very useful to talk about what we do at home, at school or at work. We can use these verbs to share our daily routines from the morning till night.

Learning & playing with CLOTHES

FIRST GRADE

1st graders, Uxía and David, are talking about CLOTHES, because we're preparing English theatre play
 " The Emperor' s new suit".

She's telling him what clothes to put on the doll. David has to understand and get dressed the doll.

They're working in pairs practizing words related to "clothes". Hat, jumper, boots, shorts, umbrella...

They are in threes learning clothes vocabulary. The kids learn and enjoy playing with the paper clothes and doll they´ve already cut up.
